How does the panoramic feature work on PENTAX 35mm cameras?

Answers:

The expression panoramic is used to indicate a format equal in width to a conventional 35mm frame, but narrower across the top and bottom. Therefore, you still receive 24-exposures on a 24-exposure roll of film. The angle of the lens does not change, only the top and bottom of the film are "cropped." The viewfinders on PENTAX cameras with this feature will automatically show the approximate panorama format as soon as the panorama switch is activated.
