Using two dental insurance plans is typically not the best way to go. You'll end up paying more than neccessary. If you've maxed out your current insurance you'll want to look to a discount dental plan as an alternative, there are a bunch out there. My wife used DentaCard, it was only $49.95 for the whole year! After she maxed out her insurance (which was lousy to begin with, only 1000 max!)... well after she maxed that out, she used this card for the remaining procedures, said she saved between 20-60% depending on the procedures, and for the really big work she used the plan to get the discount and then was able to finance the rest, so it really worked out well and we didn't need to commit to another lousy insurance plan. check it out http://www.dentacard.com , cool site, friendly people and a ton of participating dentists.
